Op Shop Craft Boost

Quick trip to Savers paid off (as it normally does!!)

Three bags of goodies all for under $10 (just)

They look harmless enough....

Love the retro smurfs and flowers elastic

Op Shop Jnr helping, 1, 2, 3, twelveteen, nineteen...
Dropped one
Thank- you Savers!

Now to find the time to use it all!!

Anyone else check out the craft sections of op shops?  What do you look for?

Can anyone give me advice on quick and easy projects?

I'm a beginner!

  1. I can't leave an Op Shop without walking out with some sort of crafty material...for a 'future' project. I must stop though, I can no longer get into my craft cupboard!

  2. Love all your craft bits and bobs especially the Smurf ribbon/elastic. How about making a button bouquet you will need beside buttons some florist/millinery wire.

  3. Great finds! Love the craft section of op shops and always look for buttons, trims and cheap and vintage fabric.

    1. My craft box is now jam packed!! I love the random variety from op shops and I love the fact they are all recycled.

  4. wow I need to go to an op shop like yours. For under $10 that is a serious stash of awesome craft supplies. I think the smurf elastic is particularily amazing :)

  6. Oh dear, the Smurfs mention made me crack up. I used to love the Smurfs and then Dylan Moran wrecked it for me. If you have no idea what I mean, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QY8d2cHYuB0.

Op Shop Jnr looks like he's being very helpful though!

  7. Just earlier this week, I found a pretty large piece of blue fleece (think cookie monster) for 2.50. Going to make a superhero cape or two and at least one cookie monster hat (for myself!)

I've been challenging myself lately to make fun things out of ever smaller bits. There's a lot of fun flowers that those buttons could go in!

Thanks for commenting on my blog post earlier. :D
